                     Sporting-Recreation Catfishing - Experience the Excitement! 

Currently our members are pursuing the Sporting-Recreation of Catfishing supportive of our Constitution:  To cohesively in harmony with nature and sportsmanship, pursue the sport of catfishing by means of tournaments using a rod and reel, catch and release, alive and well.

The ACA is a newly established (Feb 16, 2008) 501c(7) private association Registered with Federal Tax ID, Constitution/Bylaws, Board of Officers, annual general membership meeting, awards/banquet, and is family oriented, friendly, yet competitive tournament catfishing.  We are in our initial start-up year with monthly tournaments scattered throughout Arkansas and "we are here to stay."  As a result of the "gas price thing" and the economy, we have a lso initiated eight (8) geographical sectors with a sector chair setting-up tournaments in their sectors independently yet as an adjunct to the association's tournaments to ease the cost factor.  All regular members have the option to participate in all the tournaments whether the assocition's or the sectors.  We have regular, associate, affiliate and corporate membership.  Regular membership is only $20.00 a year with full benefits to include voting. Associate membership can be spouses, legal common law, significant others, children under 16; they can accompany their regular (sponsored) member on boats and meetings but without assisting the regular member's fishing, and without voting, however, can participate in all activities and serve as an ad hoc committee member.
